Get Ready for Driving Test
|
|
Duration of the test is 30 to 55 min, depending on the
state/territory. You can use your car, your friend’s car or driving
instructor’ car for the test.
Test officers are rigorous and bribeless. It is
not unusual to fail driving test 4-5 times, before you can finally pass it. Your test officer will watch you to execute each element specified in the driving procedures in our eBook; if you miss any - you lose points. When the driving procedure says, let say, "look over the right shoulder", the test officer will be on the watch for your head movement, when it says "look in the centre mirror" or "look at the instrument panel", the test officer will be on the watch for your eyes movement, when it says "the blinker must indicate for at least 5 seconds", the test officer will be counting seconds, etc. That's why you shouldn't book the driving test until you have learnt all driving elements by heart and have made them your own routine.
Driving test hints are available in our eBook. We
recommend you to take at least 10 hours of
practical training with an approved driving instructor in the area of the test to learn
the route and polish your techniques.
You can find a driving
instructor in Yellow
Pages (enter your suburb, and click Search).
