The
term “vehicle” is used here as an umbrella term for cars, trucks,
motorcycles, bicycles, buses and trams.
“Bike”
is used here as an umbrella term for motorcycles and bicycles.
“Hold
line” is used here as a general term for “Give Way” line or “Stop” line road
marking.
“Solid line” is synonymous with
“continuous line” or “unbroken line”, and antonymous with “broken line” or
“dashed line”.
“Dividing line” is synonymous with
“centre line”, and means a line dividing road for traffic in the opposite
direction.
“Lane divider” is synonymous with
“lane line”, and means a line separating lanes for traffic in the same
direction.
“The rightmost lane” is the lane
nearest to the middle of the road, i.e. the middlemost lane, or in other words,
the rightmost lane (far right lane) of your half of the road.
