MOVING FROM THE KERB
|
|
Look
at the instrument panel:
check the Fuel Gauge to make sure
there is enough fuel,
and check warning lights: Hand
Brake is the only warning light that must be on.
If Open Door warning
light is on, do not continue until you close all the doors.
If any other warning
light is on, shut down the engine until the fault is fixed.

Adjust
all rear view mirrors.
|
|

How?

|

|
|
Switch
on the right turn signal.
|
|
|
|
How?
- see CAR CONTROLS section - Turn Signal switch.
The
right turn signal indicates not only the right turn itself, but also that you
are moving from the kerb, and you must switch it on even if you are going to
drive in the kerb-side lane.

|
|
|
Left
foot to brace position.
Right
foot on the brake.
Press
the brake pedal firmly.
|
|
|
|
How?

In
order to prevent the car creeping after you release the hand brake you must
completely depress the foot brake before shifting the transmission selector
from Park.

|
Shift
transmission to Drive.
|
|
|
|
How?
- see CAR CONTROLS section - Transmission selector lever and
Overdrive button.
You
should select transmission first, and release hand brake last for safety
consideration.
