Starting the car engine
Start up position of levers: hand brake is up (applied), transmission is on Park.
Feet off pedals (do not touch pedals).

Turn your car key in the ignition switch all the way to the right, and hold there until the engine starts. You can tell the moment the engine starts by ear or by the tachometer needle going up – immediately release the key (do not turn).
